This weekend was the Nascar Race in Martinsville, VA. It was Mary's first race, so Nelson decked her out in the proper Jr. attire.

Bristol Race

This weekend was the Nascar race in Bristol, TN. Mark and I went with Dad and Nelson. It was a fantastic day (except that Kyle Busch won)!

Mark and I bought new headsets so we can listen to the race and talk to each other. Pretty exciting!

Snow Day!

Today was a [self-imposed] snow day! We went outside to play and this is what we saw...

Family Birthday

Mark turned the big 2-9 last week. We celebrated this weekend with his parents and Jeff!

Valentine's Day

Martha Stewart would be impressed with the bake-a-thon Schaap and I undertook for our loving husbands!

Formal Occasion

This Saturday, we joined my aunt and uncle at Winterlark. I wore a dress that was my grandmother's from the 1960s - it was lovely!

Inauguration

This weekend, Mark and I drove up to DC for President Obama's inauguration. After waiting in line for hours in the cold morning air, we ran to Dockham's house to watch it on TV.

There was little to no hope that we would make it to - let alone through - the Blue Ticket Gates.
