We celebrated Mom's birthday the second night of our Florida trip.

This year we all gathered at Miss Bunny and Mr. Dan's house for caroling and fellowship on Christmas Eve.

Early Christmas

Mark and I hosted my family for an early Christmas brunch. Everyone loved their presents!

We were there...promise!

This weekend we went up to DC to visit all our friends up there. Mark was in Richmond all week arguing appeals, so he drove up to DC when he finished and I flew up on Friday morning.

Mary and Kelty both had Friday afternoon off so we had to a chance to catch up!  We joined Ted, Nelson, and Mary for dinner before heading to Bexxx's surprise birthday party. It was great to see so many friends in one place!

On Saturday it snowed, but we braved the weather to have brunch with Klich at Town Hall. That night we had sushi with Rachael, the Biegels, O'Haras, and Kerrs. So good to see them!

On Sunday we headed back into DC to have brunch with Peter and Kenzie before hopping back on the road. What a great weekend - too bad we didn't take a single picture!

The day after Thanksgiving my whole family was together, so we took a family photo for Mom and Dad's Christmas card.

Thanksgiving

For the second year in a row, we celebrated Thanksgiving with a potluck lunch at the farm. Good weather, great company!

After the big meal, the girls (and kiddos) headed back to Granny's house for the traditional staircase picture:

Separate, but Equal

This weekend, Mark and I went our separate ways for two different types of fun. He flew to South Dakota with my dad, Nelson, and Allen for a weekend of pheasant hunting.

I drove up to Marion to spend time with Mom, Clair, Hutch, and Nelson. We enjoyed some time at the farm.

On Saturday night, Clay, Schaap, and Harper Day stopped in for dinner!

Fall Martinsville Race

On Saturday night, Mark was fidgety. Really fidgety. So we jumped on the internet and purchased tickets for the next day's Nascar race in Martinsville. The weather was beautiful and our views were, um, interesting...

Camp in Autumn

This weekend, Mark and I accompanied the Marshalls to Merrie-Woode. While Clair was cooped up in Board meetings, the boys and I explored the grounds!

Wake Wins!

There was a little bit of pride (for me) riding on the Wake vs. State game this weekend since several people in my office attended State and are rabid fans. Being the lone Demon Deacon in my office, I was very proud walking in on Monday morning!

Lake George Wedding

Um, yeah...so there's really nothing I can say about Erin and Cole's wedding except that it was absolutely beautiful - the location, the weather, the bride, everything!

This weekend we flew up to Lake George, NY, for Erin and Cole's wedding. What a beautiful area! It was fantastic spending time with some of the Lorrainers and checking out all that Bolton Landing had to offer its tourists.
